The European Suicide: How NATO and the EU Sacrifice Peace

By Frank Dumon
Europe, a continent once the cradle of diplomacy, culture, and the balance of power, is today witnessing its own geopolitical suicide. While the average citizen struggles with rising living costs, crumbling infrastructure, and increasingly authoritarian governance, the unelected elites of the EU and NATO march steadfastly towards the abyss. The provocations against Russia are reaching proportions that can no longer be dismissed as mere strategic errors; it is a conscious, almost self-destructive drive towards conflict. For the European population, it is time to open their eyes. The current course does not lead to security, but to a destruction that will claim the prosperity and lives of millions of Europeans. Peace is not a sign of weakness, but the only rational way out of a nightmare created by elites.
Recent analyses from the front lines and the heart of Russian decision-making paint a shocking picture of a war deliberately prolonged by the West, and a Europe knowingly marching towards its own downfall. The reality at the front and in the meeting rooms of Brussels and Washington stands in stark contrast to the daily propaganda fed to the European citizen.
Industrialized Massacres and the Moral Bankruptcy

To understand the nature of the regime in Kiev, we must look beyond the romanticized images of the Western media. What is happening at the front is not the heroic resistance of a democracy, but the macabre game of contemporary warfare. Drone operators in Ukrainian service work with a point system. The primary goal is not neutralizing military threats, but achieving a 'kill quota'. When military targets are scarce, the focus shifts to civilian infrastructure, trucks, and in the most reprehensible case, to civilians who happen to appear in the camera's view. A grandmother in her garden or a child on a playground, in the sick logic of this point system, is worth the extra monthly bonus.
This is no longer warfare; this is industrialized slaughter, facilitated and financed by the taxpayer in Europe and the US. The Western media is completely silent about this or downplays these crimes as 'collateral damage' or the work of 'stray missiles'. But the reality is that the Ukrainian regime, backed by NATO, has lost all moral legitimacy. It is a machine running on the flesh and bones of its own people, driven by the cynical calculations of a point system.
The Kleptocracy and the Illusion of Victimhood
Western support for Kiev is justified by the noble ideal of 'defending democracy'. Nothing could be further from the truth. What we are supporting is one of the most flagrant kleptocracies in modern history. The circles around Zelensky are not fighting for the survival of the Ukrainian nation; they are fighting for their own enrichment and survival. They plunder the prosperity of their own population, like pigs at a trough. There is no ideological conviction, only the hunger for power and even more wealth.
The tragedy is that the European citizen pays for this. While the Ukrainian elite secures their stolen billions in villas in Tel Aviv, London, or the United States, the Ukrainian population is imprisoned in what is no longer a country, but a gigantic concentration camp. The cities are fortified with tank ditches and wire barricades, not to keep the Russians out, but to prevent their own male population from fleeing forced mobilization. Women are now being pressured to fill the empty spots in the suicide squads. This is the reality of the 'victory' the European elites are leading us towards: the total destruction of a people for the benefit of a parasitic caste.
The End of Russian Restraint
For years, Moscow has shown restraint. Despite the endless provocations, the sabotage of the Minsk agreements, the supply of increasingly heavy weapons, and the direct interference of NATO countries, Russia held onto the illusion that the West would eventually come to its senses. That time is over. The patience has run out. Public anger in Russia, which has grown exponentially after eight years of crimes against civilians and the constant threat at the borders, now demands action.
Russian decision-making is shifting. The realization is setting in that the West only understands the language of force. As long as NATO countries could hide behind the proxy of Ukraine, the conflict remained abstract for the European citizen. But the limit of what is tolerable has been crossed. When NATO countries make their airspace available for Ukrainian drones, they are no longer neutral parties or mere proxies; they are complicit enemy aggressors.
The message from Moscow is crystal clear and should sound like a thunderclap in every European capital: if you make your airspace and bases available, you are legitimate targets.
Cities like Tallinn, Riga, or Helsinki do not need to be destroyed with nuclear weapons to understand the message. Today's conventional precision weapons are more than sufficient to cripple the critical infrastructure of a modern city. Water, electricity, sanitation, and communication networks can be disabled in an instant. The Western elite, who feel so safe in their fancy offices or their bunkers, must be confronted with the reality of war on their own soil. Only when the European population experiences the cold and darkness of destroyed infrastructure firsthand will the pressure on the elites become unbearable. Forcing peace by making the aggressor feel the pain of escalation is, unfortunately, the only language the current Western rulers understand.
The EU and the Illusion of Choice
How is it possible that an entire continent stares so blindly at a conflict that is not in their interest? The answer lies in the structure of the modern Western democracy, which has been reduced to an empty shell. In almost every European country, a 'uniparty' has emerged. Whether you vote for the social democrats, the christian democrats, the liberals, or the greens, the foreign and defense policy is identical: escalation, escalation, escalation. The differences in domestic policy are merely cosmetic, a charade to give the citizen the illusion of choice.
In the military and corporate world, this is called the 'decision matrix'. When a staff wants a commander or CEO to make a certain decision, they present him with five or six options. The option the staff prefers is carefully favored in the weighting, while the alternatives – including the most sensible or peaceful options – are omitted or portrayed so negatively that they are considered suicide. The commander thinks he has made a free choice, but the result was predetermined.
This is exactly how European governments are run, and how the European citizen is manipulated. The 'acceptable discourse' is so narrowly defined that any question about the legitimacy of NATO expansion, the sabotage of Nord Stream, or the necessity of diplomacy is immediately dismissed as 'Putin propaganda'. The citizen is made to believe that we stand 'on the right side of history'. But history judges not based on propaganda, but based on results. And the result of this policy is the destruction of European prosperity, the de-industrialization of our continent, and the risk of a nuclear or conventional war that will bomb Europe back to the stone age.
The Betrayal of the Elites and the Responsibility of the Citizen
The European leaders now shouting loudest for war and escalation do not plan to die for the cause themselves. They have dual nationalities, villas abroad, and private jets ready. When the situation escalates and the population rises up, they will leave the country. The farmers, the workers, and the middle class will be left behind to pay the bill, literally and figuratively. They will be the ones forced to live in a militarized society, where freedom of speech has been replaced by censorship and where sons are sent to the front to die for the interests of the American defense industry and the financial elite.
The European population must understand that they are not governed by statesmen, but by lackeys of a trans-Atlantic elite that no longer has any connection to the well-being of the European people. The migration crisis, de-industrialization, and war rhetoric are not separate phenomena, but parts of the same strategy to weaken, divide, and ultimately break the European population.
The Path Back to Reason
Europe stands at a historic turning point. The lessons of the twentieth century seem forgotten. We see the same arrogance, the same blind ideology, and the same contempt for human life that plunged the continent into the trenches of the First World War a hundred years ago. The difference is that today's weapons no longer know trenches, but can lay entire cities to ash.

The provocations must stop immediately. The supply of weapons must end, and diplomatic channels must be reopened, not from a position of moral superiority, but from the humble recognition that Russia is a great power with legitimate security interests that cannot be ignored. Ukraine must be the buffer zone it has always been, not a forward post for an aggressive military NATO alliance.
The European citizen faces the difficult task of breaking this tyrannical narrative. Refuse to embrace the hatred that is served to you. Demand that your politicians commit to peace, not escalation. Realize that the only real victory in this geopolitical madness is avoiding war.
If we continue on the path we are on, the elites who have plunged us into this misery will long be safe, while the rest of us pay the price with our blood and our future. The choice is ours, as long as we still have that choice. Let us hope we do not wake up too late.
